You may need to increase the volume a bit but it's well worth the listen as someone's spoken words tend to have more weight than just the written word. Pastor Ray lays out the new covenant and the role of Jesus as our High Priest, as well as His dual role as the King of Kings. Make a decision in your heart today that you allow Jesus to function in both roles. "Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them." Hebrews 7:25  Let the King of Kings rule and reign over your heart and your life through every circumstance and you will be amazed what He will begin to do in your life! We lost some of this broadcast and the sound quality isn't quite up to par. Please be patient as we work with WAVA to address these issues.) Today's broadcast is the first in the series from a wonderful set of books entitled "They Knew Their God" (see top of page for more info). It deals with the life of William Bramwell, who knew and experienced the wonderful gift of entire sanctification, are you willing to cry out to Jesus for this precious gift, knowing that it will cost you everything? https://nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=3853&feed_id=4751

The Blood of the New Covenant (2005)

The Blood of the New Covenant (2005) After conversion, Christians are to mat... After conversion, Christians are to mature. The writer of Hebrews speaks of this as eating "meat," or "solid food," instead of milk. A key feature of this maturity is entering the rest of God. Another is consecration and power for service. This includes answered prayers, souls saved, and Satan's kingdom destroyed. Yet another feature is a willingness to endure suffering and persecution with joy, counting it as discipline (or education) from God. We attain all this not through self-discipline, but through the blood of the new covenant. If we do not enter this rest, we will harden our hearts. Like the children of Israel, we will die in the wilderness. But if we do enter it, we will enjoy with God a sweet love as between a husband and a wife. https://nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=8825&feed_id=4575

Willing to Be Made Willing? (Encore)

Willing to Be Made Willing? (Encore) In today's Saturday sermon, Pastor Ray ... In today's Saturday sermon, Pastor Ray discusses Chapter 5 ( The Holy Spirit Takes Possession ) of " Rees Howell: Intercessor " by Norman Grubb.  As we begin to abide in Jesus, He takes us all the way to the bottom. We must then go to the same place as described by Rees and Pastor Ray, where finally our lives are fully given to Jesus. In that place, the Holy Spirit comes and asks us if we're willing and will make us "willing to be made willing" if we willingly go to the cross. Are you willing to move out of your life and will you trust the Holy Spirit to pull you through? https://nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=4040&feed_id=4563

Finally, the Holy Spirit showed him who he was and he was born from above. God removed all sin from this dear man's heart and he wants to do the same for you. Will you allow Him to do that work in your heart? Jesus wants to make you righteous, will you have all that Jesus wants to give to you? https://nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=3858&feed_id=4490

Are You an Overcomer?

Are You an Overcomer? https://youtu.be/PVUxxPhNO3o The r... https://youtu.be/PVUxxPhNO3o The risen Christ's second admonition to the church at Laodicea is to buy "white garments." Like Adam and Eve, those in the church were naked because of their sin--unlike Adam and Eve, they didn't realize it. We receive these garments by faith from Jesus when we completely consecrate ourselves to him and remain consecrated. The finished work of holiness is not an absolute perfection, but a moral perfection from which we can fall.  Do not trust in a past experience. Are you overcoming in Jesus, right now? https://nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=4178&feed_id=4295

Being Born Again Is Not Enough

Being Born Again Is Not Enough Using the text of a John Wesley sermon ... Using the text of a John Wesley sermon and Romans 1 and Romans 6 (and many other scriptures), Pastors Ray and Jan explain why being born again is not enough. Listen closely and determine where you are in this process. I leave  you with the words of a chorus written by John Wesley. "Break off the yoke of inbred sin, And fully set my spirit free!  I cannot rest till pure within, Till I am wholly lost in Thee." https://nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=4055&feed_id=4274

(NOTE: We're still having issues with the sound quality of the broadcasts, but we've received an updated file from the radio station, so the quality is much improved. There is no corresponding video with this broadcast.) This is another broadcast focusing on one of the stories from " They Knew Their God, Volume 1 " by Lillian and Edwin Harvey. This dear saint discovered the secret that Jesus is the source of all, He is the bread of life. Our role is simply to trust and obey Him. Elizabeth made this transformation from "I am" it's all about me to that of the real "I am" the all powerful God, have you allowed God to do this great work in your heart? https://nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=3859&feed_id=3917

They succinctly and accurately lay out the process where God begins in earnest to transform our character. What a wonderful work to be transformed by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, there's nothing more precious.   Have you made that decision to "go through" with God? https://nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=3972&feed_id=3915

Sanctification Can Be Lost

Sanctification Can Be Lost A Christian can lose sanctification, or... A Christian can lose sanctification, or the second work of grace. But, you may ask, wouldn't someone jealously guard such a precious gift? Often, Christians lose the blessing by refusing to testify of it. They may also lose sanctification if they allow the soul to become burdened again, or through deliberate disobedience or neglect. Usually, the loss is not sudden. Rather, it's a gradual, slow leakage of joy, liberty, and power. For example, you may lack the deep, steady peace in your heart that you used to have. Instead of freely testifying, you feel afraid. At prayer meetings or in personal witness, your tongue is paralyzed. Or, when you do testify and pray, your words lack power. Do you know the blessed peace and joy of this second work of grace? If so, do you jealously guard it? Or are you sensing it slowly leak away? https://nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=8032&feed_id=3792

Heart Purity

Heart Purity https://youtu.be/PJv09dEqclM The C... https://youtu.be/PJv09dEqclM The Christian journey begins with a quick amputation of all outward sin when a person surrenders his or her will to Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit then begins the inner work of heart purity, or entire sanctification. But he will not begin this work if we love the world or the flesh: and that includes everything from professional sports to casual jokes and conversation. The normal Christian experience is to walk in the joy of heart purity, knowing that the heart is totally separated from lust for the world and completely consecrated to Jesus Christ. Where are you in this journey? Do you still rebel against God? You may attend church your whole life, know all the theology, and still be a pagan in the eyes of God. If you do not prepare to meet your Maker today, when will you? https://www.nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=4096&feed_id=3679

We Are Rushing Toward The DAY OF THE LORD https://youtu.be/xhMfMI50KBw Have ... https://youtu.be/xhMfMI50KBw Have you been made holy by the blood of righteous and is this decision reflected in how you spend your time and money? The question is always whether Jesus will accept us, not the other way around. Can you continue in sin and will the love of God somehow save you? In a word, NO, it's an invention of the modern church. Are you living up to the light you know in your heart (see the excerpt below from the book that Pastor Ray read where Finney is asking several critcal questions)? Remember that salvation under the New Covenant are always FROM sin not IN sin. There's much more I could write but think it's critically important for you to listen with your Bible. “Well, do you believe that you have treated God as you should? Have you respected His authority? Have you loved Him? Have you done what you thought would please Him? Don’t you admit that you oug...

Are You Washed in the Blood?

Are You Washed in the Blood? https://youtu.be/VUZ3q9futMg The q... https://youtu.be/VUZ3q9futMg The question is not, "Are you saved," but, "Are you washed in the blood of Jesus"? Just as surely as dirt is removed from washed hands, sin is presently and actually removed from a person washed in the blood of Jesus Christ. Of the specific acts of sin from which the apostle Paul indicates that we are saved, the most relevant for the modern, American church is idolatry . This is putting anyone or anything in the place of Jesus--be it your work, cell phone, refrigerator, children, pets, sense of identity, professional sports, Netflix, television, coffee, video games, the internet, or Disney world. Sanctification begins in this initial act of washing, also called being born again, baptized, or crucified with Christ . While the new birth is necessary for your personal salvation, it isn't the end goal. The command of Scripture is to be perfect, even as Jesu...

Stop Fighting God's Work! (June 23, 2005)

Stop Fighting God's Work! (June 23, 2005) This is the first sermon we've uploaded... This is the first sermon we've uploaded from Pastor Jan Greenley, who went home to be with Jesus in May 2010 . She had boldness and a God-given ability to swing the sword. The sermon correlates to Monday's broadcast. God brought Joseph to that dark night of his soul, when he was thrown into the pit. In that pit, Joseph made a determination to stop fighting God's work. Surely that same thing happened to Peter, after he denied Jesus three times. Will you stop fighting God's work in your heart and let Him have the victory? https://www.nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=3867&feed_id=3314

I Will Not Go Out Free

I Will Not Go Out Free https://youtu.be/H7hBLTiCr5Q Pasto... https://youtu.be/H7hBLTiCr5Q Pastor Ray digs deeper into the book " Coals of Fire " by G.D. Watson and would encourage you to intently listen. What will you do when you discover that following Jesus won't make you "somebody" and will you make the choice to simply be the love slave of Jesus, come what may in your life? That's the real litmus test of being a Christian or being under the law... Are you willing to fully volunteer  or unconditionally surrender everything, including your will, into the hand of Jesus for the rest of your days? https://www.nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=11079&feed_id=2503

The Heart Cry For Holiness

The Heart Cry For Holiness There is a transition happening to thos... There is a transition happening to those who are part of the National Prayer Chapel, whether you physically go there or you're listening to the broadcasts and sermons. Jesus focus is to build the kingdom of God. He's taking us to a place where we give up the need to be somebody and all of the pride of our heart has been emptied. The painful point in all this is that the transition comes through suffering. There's one primary idea that Pastor Ray conveyed which is critical to understand in our spirits is that when things don't work out like we think it should, then don't turn against Jesus but humble your heart and submit to that still small voice. We must lay down all demands, all anger and simply allow Jesus to do whatever He wills. Here's what Jahazel said to the king of Judah in 2 Chronicles 20 "You need not fight in this battle ; station yourselves, stand and see the salvatio...

The Joy Of The Lord Is Stolen By Backsliding

The Joy Of The Lord Is Stolen By Backsliding https://youtu.be/_w0-FOCTSIw Find ... https://youtu.be/_w0-FOCTSIw Find out today how the joy of the Lord can be stolen from us! Be encouraged today to put your full trust in Jesus and not in yourself! If you've backslidden, than repent and get back to Jesus! “Now that I have shown you the reasons for their backsliding, you show me the manner in which they do it ,” Hopeful challenged. “I will,” Christian agreed. “I will,” Christian agreed. “ First of all, the backsliders resist all thoughts of God, death, and the judgment to come . Thus, to continue this resistance, they begin by degrees to cast off private duties such as closet prayer, curbing their lusts, watching their souls, grieving over their sin, and the like. They also begin to shun the company of lively and warm Christians. “After this mostly private resistance, they then grow cold to their public duties such as hearing God’s Word preached, reading the Bible, and ...
