The Most Joyful Part

The Most Joyful Part https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P1K1Rz... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P1K1RzwX7ws Pastor Ray lays out for us, the most joyful part of this Christian life. It's not the wonderful inner life but rather it's a life that calls us to minister to others and call them to Jesus. It's in this place we see the hand of God move to rescue another precious soul. This is part of fruit-bearing in addition to our charcter. In our Christian culture, we focused so much on the inner life and many of us have a very limited interest in the souls of others. Where is the energy of your life focused? Pastor Ray shows us in Luke 13 that we are the fig tree and will be cut if we don't produce. WIll you ask the Holy Spirit to show you where the focus of your life is? Scriptures Used in this broadcast: Luke 13, Galatians 5 https://nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=60204&feed_id=5206

Deal Honestly with God - 2012

Deal Honestly with God - 2012 The only way to enter into that promise... The only way to enter into that promised land of deliverance and salvation is to allow God to first deal with your sin and then you must deal with your sin. It's not about self-effort or keeping the law in your own power but readily confessing the wickedness of your heart and asking Jesus to change you by His blood and His power. Jesus is faithful! https://nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=28646&feed_id=5204

There are only two sources of righteousness, which of these are you walking under? Pastor Ray talks about the source of righteousness that comes through Christ as we repent and surrender ourselves to Him. Will you allow Jesus to put enmity in your heart against sin, so that you can be free to serve Jesus? Are you willing to ask Jesus to do this grand work in your heart today? He came to destroy the works of the devil in your heart and mine, will you allow Him to do that today? https://nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=11156&feed_id=5128

Using the story of Lazarus, Pastor Ray takes a much closer look. Have you allowed Jesus to change your character? Today is the day of salvation and death will not change us. Will you allow Jesus to fully search your heart, so that He can fully change you? https://nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=11169&feed_id=5047

The Practical Walk with Jesus (Part 1)

The Practical Walk with Jesus (Part 1) We apologize for the delay in this post... We apologize for the delay in this post but it was from Friday's radio broadcast and focuses on the practical aspects of our walk with Jesus. How does that look, how does it operate and Jesus comes to us through the Holy Spirit to teach us how to walk with Him? We must deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow Jesus but how does that actually work? We must flee from the City of Destruction and go through the narrow or groaning gate. Listen to the broadcast and cry out for understanding as to what it means to walk with Jesus. https://nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=3890&feed_id=5035

THE FULLNESS OF THE BEATITUDES – 2017 REBROADCAST

THE FULLNESS OF THE BEATITUDES – 2017 REBROADCAST Today's broadcast was a rebroadcast of ... Today's broadcast was a rebroadcast of a message originally preached in 2017. We're trying to avoid double-posting but including these messages on YouTube, so I'm linking back to the latest message. The only comment I would make is that this is an amalgam of thoughts from Pastor Ray, mixed in with the words of G.D. Watson. This is really the whole loaf, as Pastor Ray has methodically gone through the Beatitudes this week. https://nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=42109&feed_id=5020

God Is Real! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QfbTqH... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QfbTqHXp8z0 Today's broadcast is the first in a group of interconnected messages this week. Do you know that God is real and that your life is in His hand? May this painful message today awaken our hearts to a Holy God who demands our allegiance. Will you humble yourself before the reality of our mighty God? Your fate need not be like Korah's group who pushed God to their own end in their pride and rebellion. https://nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=39422&feed_id=4966

Pastor Ray lays out the new covenant and the role of Jesus as our High Priest, as well as His dual role as the King of Kings. Make a decision in your heart today that you allow Jesus to function in both roles. "Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them." Hebrews 7:25  Let the King of Kings rule and reign over your heart and your life through every circumstance and you will be amazed what He will begin to do in your life! He will give you peace and His righteousness, what a mighty God we serve. https://nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=3974&feed_id=4878

Run to Jesus for Refuge

Run to Jesus for Refuge What does it look like to run to Jesus ... What does it look like to run to Jesus for refuge? Brother Bevington, a 20th-century American evangelist, cut it straight. "Get right with God! Get on your knees and cry out loud for mercy!" Bevington issued these directions not to unbelievers, but to church members in good standing. The resulting meeting continued for over eight days. Bevington preached only a little. And when he did, he focused on the judgment and the wrath of God. He spent his days offsite, wrestling with God in prayer for the salvation and sanctification of these people. As a result, hundreds were in soul agony--sometimes for less than an hour, and sometimes for days. They confessed their sins out loud, wept, and cried to God for mercy until they finally got through and knew they were right with God. One woman replied, "You're just making fools out of all of us. Our pastor said that I'm saved." Bevington cut h...

A New Kind of Church 2021 Playlist

A New Kind of Church 2021 Playlist Here's another critically important... Here's another critically important playlist from earlier this year. I'm reminded of an article I read from a group of Chinese pastors, all of whom had been seriously persecuted for their faith in Jesus. I've included a large part of that from our dear brothers and sisters at Asia Harvest. God is always in control! If He allows persecution to come, it’s for the good of His kingdom. In China, believers only experienced the full joy of intimacy with Jesus when they were in the furnace of affliction and after they came out the other side. Persecution is the last thing our flesh desires, but our faith must rest on the fact that the Lord Jesus will not let us down, and He will never leave nor forsake us. Persecution cannot destroy our relationship with Him: “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword...

The Gospel vs. Christian Gnosticism

The Gospel vs. Christian Gnosticism Gnosticism originated before the time o... Gnosticism originated before the time of Jesus. After the birth of the church, Gnosticism made quick inroads into the church in both teaching and practice. Today, many of these Gnostic infiltrations still exist in the church. However, they aren't recognized as Gnostic. So what is the true gospel, and what is Gnostic heresy? Pastor Ray identifies several key Gnostic teachings that will prevent a Christian from being saved. This message is vital for your soul! Listen and see if you have unknowingly believed a lie, or misled others in your attempts to witness! https://nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=8397&feed_id=4704

The focus of today's message is to fully put our trust in Jesus Christ, first to be rescued from all sin and then to rescue others. We must drop all judgments, of others and ourselves, as part of the work of redemption. This is a call to be fully given to Jesus Christ and do everything we can, at the call of the Holy Spirit, to pull others through into the kingdom of God. " If I rise with judgment in my heart against my brother, my sister, how can I grab ahold of them and have God breathe life into them? The Vital Elements of the Christian Faith (October 2014)

The Vital Elements of the Christian Faith (October 2014) Building on yesterday's message,, Pasto... Building on yesterday's message, , Pastor Ray delves into the lives of John Calvin and Jacobus Arminius and their doctrinal movements with the Synod of Dort and the Remonstrance. Calvin killed and imprisoned those who disagreed with him, while Arminius brought to light the lie of the sinning Christian and the truth that we can live without sin in this life. In the 1700s, the Wesley brothers uncovered the doctrine of entire sanctification, thereby restoring the apostolic doctrine of Christianity. This struggle over the gospel, and the pervasive denial of a sinless life, blocks the needed revival in America today. If you can walk in your sin and still be saved, then what need is there for a revival of holiness? Beloved, has Jesus removed all of your sins? If not, will you submit to him TODAY and let him free you? https://nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=5710&feed_id=4610

Pastor Ray’s explanation of Psalm 27 and Psalm 84 illustrates our need to pray first for our own salvation and then for others’ salvation. In this, God promises to be our stronghold. God’s stronghold is both a place of protection from the enemy and intercession for others. If you didn’t get to call in today, please call tomorrow from 1-2 PM EST and Pastor Ray will pray with you! Pastor Ray has been addressing the issue of idols this week in connection with the story of Gideon and how that is applicable in our lives today we look at something connected to these messages. Do we have the heart of the Father as evidenced by our humble submission to His will and a heart that doesn't want to offend Him because we love Him? May your heart be broken as you listen to this old message today. "No slavish fear can be where love reigns. But perfect, adult love casteth out slavish fear: because such fear hath torment - And so is inconsistent with the happiness of love. A natural man has neither fear nor love; one that is awakened, fear without love; a babe in Christ, love and fear; a father in Christ, love without fear." John Wesley in his commentary from 1 John 4 https://nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=38015&feed_id=4544

Is Every Christian Like You?

Is Every Christian Like You? Jesus said that salvation belongs to th... Jesus said that salvation belongs to those who enter the kingdom with burning zeal (Matthew 11). The zeal is to forever and immediately leave all sin, live holy before God, and devote the rest of one's life to Jesus Christ. Yet in America, a preacher may press the gospel time after time and never see a passionate response. Do you make excuses for your lukewarmness, as if Jesus would believe the lies of the flesh? Do you think every Christian is like you? The fact is, Christians in China, India, Vietnam, and Indonesia suffer imprisonment, beating, and death for the sake of Christ. Leave your excuses behind and get to Jesus, while there is still time to repent. https://nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=7586&feed_id=4529
