Face to Face with God

Face to Face with God No one but the prophet Isaiah saw the L... No one but the prophet Isaiah saw the Lord, high and lifted up, that day in the temple. Why? Why didn't everyone see God's glory? Simply, they were too concerned with other things. Worldliness, materialism, ambition, and religious tradition prevented them from coming face to face with God. However, a closer look at this temple reveals the stages of salvation in the New Covenant. The altar of burnt offering, the laver, and the holy of holies each symbolize a state in the Christian experience. For example, the laver represents sanctification by faith--the second work of grace, after conversion. https://nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=8264&feed_id=5209

The Peaceful Fruit of Righteousness

The Peaceful Fruit of Righteousness Today's sermon is for the mature follow... Today's sermon is for the mature follower of Jesus from Hebrews 12. The title is part of Hebrews 12:11, which says " Now all discipline for the present does not seem to be joyful, but painful; then later it gives back the peaceful fruit of righteousness to the ones having been trained by it. " It's critically important to let go of any bitterness or unforgiveness (or even expectations of others) fully in our hearts, as this will result in sin, don't be a "threshold crosser" as Esau was. https://nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=4019&feed_id=5179

Do Not Sacrifice Yourself For The World

Do Not Sacrifice Yourself For The World https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3pr5YC... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3pr5YCEnj44 Scriptures Used During Today's Broadcast: 1 John 2:15-29, 1 John 3:1-10 Pastor Ray continues our verse-by-verse exposition of 1st John as noted above. We need to stop, wait on God to hear his direction. Are you fully given to God? Have you laid down the three sins that the Apostle John identifies in 1 John 2 (lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and the pride of life)? "(r)eal worship is the opening of our heart to God and a giving of ourselves into his hands. Giving ourselves totally to him, not to a car, not to a house, not to another person. Worship is giving ultimate possession of ourselves into the hands of our Lord God of heaven. " Pastor Ray during today's message The endpoint of the Christian has not changed and that is to be fully given into the hands of Jesus. This is real worship! https://nationalprayerchap...

What Is the Driving Motive of Your Heart?

What Is the Driving Motive of Your Heart? Why do we sin whatever that sin may be?... Why do we sin whatever that sin may be? Most of us sin simply because we hope to get something good out of it. Sin is when we place our own desire over our duty to serve the living God of heaven.  We must lay down this quid pro quo attitude, where we view God in a totally utilitarian way. Failure to do this will leave you in a half-converted state. Make an unequivocal decision to give yourself totally to Jesus, you can leave your sin! Can you actually be saved in the midst of your selfishness? The Holy Spirit always examines our motives to determine why we do what we do. The selfishness of our hearts must be utterly exposed and transformed by the power of the blood of Jesus. What is your motive in following Jesus? https://nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=3765&feed_id=5153

Do You Need a Full Work of Righteousness?

Do You Need a Full Work of Righteousness? https://youtu.be/BsvYHngoJtI Are y... https://youtu.be/BsvYHngoJtI Are you faithful to Jesus Christ? The book of James is clear that if we love the world--which encompasses anything we love more than Jesus-we are committing adultery against Him. If this is your case, you are an enemy of God and God will oppose you in your pride. You have chosen, by an act of your own will to usurp God's power and authority in your life. To be faithful to Jesus, you must allow the body of sin to be destroyed by dying with Christ, and become a new creature in Him, not walking in known sin. Is your life over? Have you come to terms with your own death? Will you make up your mind to love Christ supremely, with no way to turn back? https://nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=4086&feed_id=5145

The Mission of Gods People We're up to number 6 in our top ten lis... We're up to number 6 in our top ten list of podcasts. We live in a self-centered culture, even within the church and the question is what is the mission of God's people. Have you dealt with your self-importance as most Americans have believed, as I have, that we're exceptional people. Are Only A Few People Going To Be Saved https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4RZKyB... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4RZKyBw32Qk&t=1s Scriptures Used During Today's Broadcast: Luke 13, Matthew 16, Romans 6 Pastor Ray comes against the modern lie that all who say they are Christian must be, regardless of anything else. We must deny ourselves take up our cross and be crucified with Jesus. It's a losing or forfeiting of our dreams and desires, everything to follow Jesus. It's also an intentional leaving of sin and giving of ourselves fully to Jesus. Have you crossed that line dear one??? https://nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=61039&feed_id=5106

Learning to Stand Upon the Promises of God

Learning to Stand Upon the Promises of God Do you live by praying in faith? Usuall... Do you live by praying in faith? Usually, a desperate need will drive a Christian to really pray. Perhaps sickness, marital problems, or the lost condition of your children burdens your soul. It's not unusual for a Christian to encounter these kinds of "Red Sea" circumstances. At these times, you must decide, "Will I accuse God? Or will I stand by faith on the promises?" There's a process that every Christian must walk through to learn to stand upon the promises of God. When you decide to trust God and pray, prayer changes you so that God can answer. As you become humble and focus solely on Jesus, you clear the way for Jesus to do what he was willing to do all along. Finally, you come to a place where everything seems insignificant except the salvation of the souls of men and women. This exceedingly tender but painful process is necessary to make you into an eff...

Are you a hopeless case and need deliverance from Jesus? If you're willing to repent of your sin and give yourself to Jesus, He will deliver you! Come, Sit With Me In The Dust https://youtu.be/L0wUHZcOCXA As Am... https://youtu.be/L0wUHZcOCXA As America is crashing on many sides, it's time (past-time) to sit before Jesus in the dust with an understanding that God owes us nothing but hell and embrace this opportunity to humble our hearts before the living God. Are you willing to do that and to cry out to Jesus for a change? Have you been healed of your leprosy? https://nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=12835&feed_id=4972

What will hinder someone from finding the narrow gate, entering the narrow path, and staying on it? Namely, false prophets, hypocrisy, intellectualism, a defensive spirit, and a performance mindset will. Have you been ensnared by any of these? https://nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=3514&feed_id=4954

Watch how God uses the grief of our own heart to get at it what He desires (which is His grief). The question is whether you will make this same transition that Hannah made, from her grief to God's grief? Are you willing to be a Doulos to Jesus, leaving all of your rights behind. https://nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=60820&feed_id=4943

Personal Dealings With God

Personal Dealings With God https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_z2Cp... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_z2CpzOCBk Scriptures Used During Today's Broadcast: Romans 6 The title of today's message comes from a chapter in the book Remarkable Miracles . It is a contrast to yesterday's broadcast, what does Jesus want from you? He wants you to leave your sin and repent of this worldliness, from the cold-heartedness and the rituals of the church, which have been used as a substitute for intimacy with Jesus. You can never use the rituals of the church as a substitute for being crucified with Christ, for leaving your sin, for an absolute surrender. When all we have are the rituals of the church, we at best are a Laodicean church. Make a decision to leave Laodicea once for all but going through the crucifixion with Jesus and giving yourself without reserve to Jesus and no longer use the rituals as a substitute for intimacy with Jesus. https://nationalprayerchape...
