On today's Pilgrim's Progress, Pastor Ray walks through a very familiar story in John 3. He lays out what is the inner life of a Christian and what is not. It's a must-listen and very helpful.
Many of us, myself included, have been shut down to some degree by events in our lives and the natural inclination of our hearts. Are you willing to open your inner heart up to Jesus and allow Him to transform you from the inside out. We know we can't do but Jesus can do it and will do it if we're willing to open our heart fully to Jesus.
Soldiering On Is your church soldiering on without th... Is your church soldiering on without the Holy Spirit, perhaps while praying for revival? This will never produce revival. We must take the position, "Either the Holy Spirit comes, or the church closes. And it's over." How do you know if you're soldiering on? When your church stops confession and repentance. Instead, the church fills up broken cisterns with washed up doctrine, programs and Bible studies, casualness, and happy praise and worship. As a result, the church makes no impact on the culture. Christians remain carnal and unsanctified, and the lost unsaved. This isn't God's heart for the church. Before, the church had revivals. Refreshings of the Holy Spirit brought general change to entire cities and nations. Criminal activities stopped, bars closed, broken families made peace, and people paid back old debts.
