Today's message is very raw because it was given less than two months after our beloved Pastor Jan went home to be with Jesus. This sermon has followed me now for many years and here are some of the key things to listen for.

Pastor Ray clearly lays out from the scriptures what this life of love look like (primarily from Ephesians 5) and follows up with some examples from his own life. It's important to note that agape love doesn't have sticky hands, which is much different from eros and phileo. The most amazing thing to me as I've listened so many times is how the Holy Spirit demonstrated His love for Pastor Ray. He didn't belittle him, denigrate him or castigate him for his pain but called him to this sacrificial love that we're calling to walk in. Although God is mighty, he is capable of incredible tenderness.

Scriptures: Ephesians 5, Ephesians 1

To act in agape love is to respond to someone else’s need, pay attention to that need, and then do something about it.
