Today's message is very raw because it was given less than two months after our beloved Pastor Jan went home to be with Jesus. This sermon has followed me now for many years and here are some of the key things to listen for.

Pastor Ray clearly lays out from the scriptures what this life of love look like (primarily from Ephesians 5) and follows up with some examples from his own life. It's important to note that agape love doesn't have sticky hands, which is much different from eros and phileo. The most amazing thing to me as I've listened so many times is how the Holy Spirit demonstrated His love for Pastor Ray. He didn't belittle him, denigrate him or castigate him for his pain but called him to this sacrificial love that we're calling to walk in. Although God is mighty, he is capable of incredible tenderness.

Scriptures: Ephesians 5, Ephesians 1

To act in agape love is to respond to someone else’s need, pay attention to that need, and then do something about it.

We must know and engage in this battle and trust Jesus to fully deliver us. He uses the story of the demoniac in Mark Chapter 5 to uncover the enemy's game plan for you and me. Have you been set free by the blood of Jesus, or are you still enslaved? The battle belongs to the Lord, but we must engage ourselves in this battle through confession, repentance and trust in Jesus. The heart of Jesus is victory against every demonic power that would come against you. https://www.nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=41536&feed_id=1015

Soldiering On

We must take the position, "Either the Holy Spirit comes, or the church closes. And it's over." How do you know if you're soldiering on? When your church stops confession and repentance. Instead, the church fills up broken cisterns with washed up doctrine, programs and Bible studies, casualness, and happy praise and worship. As a result, the church makes no impact on the culture. Christians remain carnal and unsanctified, and the lost unsaved. This isn't God's heart for the church. Before, the church had revivals. Refreshings of the Holy Spirit brought general change to entire cities and nations. Criminal activities stopped, bars closed, broken families made peace, and people paid back old debts. But, the modern church is so used to soldiering on that we don't even...

Pastor Ray walks through the story of Balaam and how and why the Lord is angry with them and with us. Do you see the desperate place we're in? Will you seek Jesus with all of your heart? Do you understand that God is angry with America? https://www.nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=35475&feed_id=2000
