Run to Jesus for Refuge

Run to Jesus for Refuge What does it look like to run to Jesus ...

What does it look like to run to Jesus for refuge? Brother Bevington, a 20th-century American evangelist, cut it straight. "Get right with God! Get on your knees and cry out loud for mercy!"

Bevington issued these directions not to unbelievers, but to church members in good standing. The resulting meeting continued for over eight days. Bevington preached only a little. And when he did, he focused on the judgment and the wrath of God. He spent his days offsite, wrestling with God in prayer for the salvation and sanctification of these people. As a result, hundreds were in soul agony--sometimes for less than an hour, and sometimes for days. They confessed their sins out loud, wept, and cried to God for mercy until they finally got through and knew they were right with God.

One woman replied, "You're just making fools out of all of us. Our pastor said that I'm saved." Bevington cut her no slack. "Cry out loud for mercy, or you may be in hell in twenty minutes!" The woman began to pray, and forty minutes later "struck fire." She not only got right with God, but preached powerfully in the meeting.

This account is just one example of the Biblical, old-time revival that we're praying for and promoting at the National Prayer Chapel. And this is the kind of revival that America needs, if she is to save herself from destruction.

Will you begin a path of personal revival today by confessing and forsaking your sins out loud? And persisting until you know that you're right with God?

Soldiering On

Soldiering On Is your church soldiering on without th... Is your church soldiering on without the Holy Spirit, perhaps while praying for revival? This will never produce revival. We must take the position, "Either the Holy Spirit comes, or the church closes. And it's over." How do you know if you're soldiering on? When your church stops confession and repentance. Instead, the church fills up broken cisterns with washed up doctrine, programs and Bible studies, casualness, and happy praise and worship. As a result, the church makes no impact on the culture. Christians remain carnal and unsanctified, and the lost unsaved. This isn't God's heart for the church. Before, the church had revivals. Refreshings of the Holy Spirit brought general change to entire cities and nations. Criminal activities stopped, bars closed, broken families made peace, and people paid back old debts. But, the modern church is so used to soldiering on that we don't even...

We must deny ourselves take up our cross and be crucified with Jesus. It's a losing or forfeiting of our dreams and desires, everything to follow Jesus. It's also an intentional leaving of sin and giving of ourselves fully to Jesus. Have you crossed that line dear one??? https://nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=61039&feed_id=5106

End Time Apostasy

End Time Apostasy https://youtu.be/FKOWuM2jb-Q Pasto... https://youtu.be/FKOWuM2jb-Q Pastor Ray focuses today on the End Time apostasy, which has resulted in a lukewarm church with no power. Will you cry out for the church and allow the Holy Spirit to meld you down? Do you hear the lies of the modern church saying that there is no victory by the blood of Jesus. It's time for victory in Jesus, do you have it? It's time to awaken for many and cry out to Jesus. https://www.nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=13126&feed_id=3031
