Pastor Ray walks us through the life of the disciples after Jesus had died until the day of Pentecost came. He walks us through the purpose of our lives, in that we have to learn how to live before we can learn how to die. We must learn how to totally give up control of our lives now. All of salvation has been initiated by God, not by us, not because we're anything special.
There is a warning throughout the message that says unless we humble our hearts and let go of the belief that we can make it happen, than God will pass us by.
"You're gonna have to go to church and humble your heart and begin to weep and cry and say I'm not righteous and I'm not going to make it."

Instead, the church fills up broken cisterns with washed up doctrine, programs and Bible studies, casualness, and happy praise and worship. As a result, the church makes no impact on the culture. Christians remain carnal and unsanctified, and the lost unsaved. This isn't God's heart for the church. Before, the church had revivals. Refreshings of the Holy Spirit brought general change to entire cities and nations. Criminal activities stopped, bars closed, broken families made peace, and people paid back old debts.
