How can the lost be saved? The church growth movement, friendship evangelism, and relational theology offer many approaches. But, the fact is, the gospel as we preach it in America is not converting anyone. On the contrary, what the church believes and teaches is preventing people from being converted and saved.

So how can the lost be saved? The Scripture says,

"He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy" (Proverbs 28:13).

Thus, freedom from sin requires verbal confession of one's specific sins. By extension, the church is to present the requirements of God; show the lost that they are condemned and subject to the wrath of God; and call for immediate confession, repentance, and surrender to Jesus Christ.

Are you doing this with those you know who are not saved?

The First Love - 2004 In this Christmas season and in our cul... In this Christmas season and in our culture it's a great temptation to sentimentalize the birth of Jesus. Today's message cuts directly against that, with the question of what is your first love (from Jesus message to the church of Ephesus)? That can be readily determined by looking at your checkbook and reviewing how you've spent your time and resources. Does the first love of Jesus burn in your heart and is that the focal point of your life or is there another love? It's time to get serious and deal with this issue, will you do so today??? https://www.nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=11206&feed_id=2743
