We admire men and women who laid everything down for Jesus. For example, the apostle Peter dedicated his life to starting the church. He brought thousands of people to Jesus. Then, at the end of his life, he was arrested and crucified upside down. His wife died a martyr at the same time. So what can God do in you? Can he use you as a hero of the faith--just like Peter and his wife?

That answer depends on you. How much are you willing to be used by God? Peter didn't come to that place of martyrdom overnight. He left his fishing business and spent years sleeping outside, running out of food. He let God humiliate him, destroy his self-esteem, and lay him in the dust. Likewise, the story of Saul exemplifies God's way of humbling a man, converting him, and baptizing him in the Holy Spirit.

God wants to do the same in your life. He created you with a number of talents and intends to use you to your fullest potential for his kingdom. Your fullest potential may not be that of an apostle. Nonetheless, God has a specific purpose for which he created you.

Is your heart inflamed with fire for Jesus today? If your heart is cold and dead, will you give yourself totally to Jesus, and see what God can do in you?

Judas?

Judas? Judas had a hidden agenda and would... Judas had a hidden agenda and would not accept Jesus for who he is because his expectations were not being met. Have you dealt with this Judas spirit or will you allow it to destroy you? You need not be a Judas but must allow Jesus to fully change you and deal with bitterness, resentment, pride, judgment and/or your lack of love. Do it quickly because this Judas spirit will quickly lead to betrayal and you will become a betrayer. https://nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=10162&feed_id=4077

Set Your Heart on Jesus

Set Your Heart on Jesus https://youtu.be/xhm9_x_nKUU Using... https://youtu.be/xhm9_x_nKUU Using Malachi, John 14, and Galatians 5, Pastor Ray asked the question have you made an acceptable offering before the Lord, where you have divorced your sin and have been crucified with Christ or have you offered a profane offering before the Lord? That's only a question you can prayerfully ask the Holy Spirit. May you set your heart like flint to follow the Lord Jesus Christ, He is enough but the only acceptable offering to Jesus is everything! https://www.nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=3908&feed_id=3386

The First Love - 2004

The First Love - 2004 In this Christmas season and in our cul... In this Christmas season and in our culture it's a great temptation to sentimentalize the birth of Jesus. Today's message cuts directly against that, with the question of what is your first love (from Jesus message to the church of Ephesus)? That can be readily determined by looking at your checkbook and reviewing how you've spent your time and resources. Does the first love of Jesus burn in your heart and is that the focal point of your life or is there another love? It's time to get serious and deal with this issue, will you do so today??? https://www.nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=11206&feed_id=2743
