The Unsung Hero (2014)

The Unsung Hero (2014) Why did Cain kill his brother? The Lord...

Why did Cain kill his brother? The Lord warned, "If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if not, sin crouches at the door." Instead of taking up the battle against sin, Cain took up the battle against his brother Abel. On the other hand, Abel did not sin. Though it cost him his life, this unsung hero recognized that the battle wasn't with his brother, but with sin.

This concept returns in the book of Ephesians. "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against [...] spiritual wickedness in high places" (6:12). In other words, struggle with sin isn't struggle with other people, or even yourself. Instead, the battle with sin is a fight against spiritual forces of evil. This battle is won by Jesus Christ when you give yourself totally to him.

This raises two questions. First, how do you feel about your sin--if there be such? Do you make arguments in favor of sin, like, "God wants us to enjoy ourselves," or, "Romans 7 says that we all sin." Or did you declare war on sin?

Second, are you content with Jesus? If you are discontented with Jesus, this not only indicates sin, but is itself sin.

Are you free from sin today? If you will confess your sins out loud, declare war on all sin, and give yourself totally to Jesus, then God will give you the victory not just now, but forever! Then, like our unsung hero Abel, you will be willing to die rather than sin!

Soldiering On

Soldiering On Is your church soldiering on without th... Is your church soldiering on without the Holy Spirit, perhaps while praying for revival? This will never produce revival. We must take the position, "Either the Holy Spirit comes, or the church closes. And it's over." How do you know if you're soldiering on? When your church stops confession and repentance. Instead, the church fills up broken cisterns with washed up doctrine, programs and Bible studies, casualness, and happy praise and worship. As a result, the church makes no impact on the culture. Christians remain carnal and unsanctified, and the lost unsaved. This isn't God's heart for the church. Before, the church had revivals. Refreshings of the Holy Spirit brought general change to entire cities and nations. Criminal activities stopped, bars closed, broken families made peace, and people paid back old debts. But, the modern church is so used to soldiering on that we don't even...

We must deny ourselves take up our cross and be crucified with Jesus. It's a losing or forfeiting of our dreams and desires, everything to follow Jesus. It's also an intentional leaving of sin and giving of ourselves fully to Jesus. Have you crossed that line dear one??? https://nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=61039&feed_id=5106

End Time Apostasy

End Time Apostasy https://youtu.be/FKOWuM2jb-Q Pasto... https://youtu.be/FKOWuM2jb-Q Pastor Ray focuses today on the End Time apostasy, which has resulted in a lukewarm church with no power. Will you cry out for the church and allow the Holy Spirit to meld you down? Do you hear the lies of the modern church saying that there is no victory by the blood of Jesus. It's time for victory in Jesus, do you have it? It's time to awaken for many and cry out to Jesus. https://www.nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=13126&feed_id=3031
