Absolute Surrender

Absolute Surrender This is the way of God shown throughout...

This is the way of God shown throughout the scriptures where God calls us to make an absolute surrender to Himself. Pastor Ray focuses primarily on the story of Abraham, who made that complete giving of his life into the hands of Jesus, even though it wasn't a pretty or easy process. He uses some other examples as well.

The question is whether or not have made that decision to absolutely surrender your life to Jesus and then actually done it? It's not a one time but rather a continual decision as we seek to serve and love Jesus with all of our heart!

I'm going to include a quote from Andrew Murray from his book aptly entitled "Absolutely Surrender" and another one from author Theresa Reyna, a godly author who has a wonderfully tender heart for Jesus.

Any one of you that does not forsake all that he has cannot be my disciple (Luke 14:26, 33). Isn’t this the reason for our feeble spiritual lives and the reason that the Holy Spirit does not fill us? We have never forsaken all to follow Christ.
Murray, Andrew. Absolute Surrender

Jesus wants to live His Life through us, and this can only come as we are crucified with Him. We cannot fix ourselves in our own strength; only through total surrender to His will and a deep, internal, transforming work in our hearts will we be made whole.

The Midnight Cry (2008)

The Midnight Cry (2008) Listen to Pastor Ray go through in grea... Listen to Pastor Ray go through in great detail the parable of the ten virgins (from Matthew Chapter 25). Are you one of the ten virgins and if so do you have oil in your lamp? Listen as Pastor Ray explain what faith working by love means. Find out how to purchase faith, as you listen along... Pastor Ray gives some concrete examples of how this works. It's not complex but it's not an intellectual process. (NOTE: This message was preached during the severe financial crisis we had in 2008. The national debt was just over ten trillion dollars and that has now more than tripled to thirty three trillion dollars (i.e. $33,000,000,000,000+) so the day of reckoning is upon us.) https://www.nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=43320&feed_id=3233

Much More Amazing Grace!

Much More Amazing Grace! https://youtu.be/xWbV-P06ZUk This ... https://youtu.be/xWbV-P06ZUk This is a continuation of a prior broadcast from October on the life of John Newton, author of Amazing Grace. Pastor Ray details this brother's struggle and subsequent victory over being half-converted. He initially was transformed to some degree but was unwilling to surrender everything to Jesus. During the time of half-conversion, Newton's depravity is described in excruciating detail. Listen to the story how this dear brother finally laid everything down in full surrender to Jesus Christ. Praise God for this wonderful testimony of this dear brother who was fully converted and totally transformed! https://nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=3773&feed_id=4206

The Terrifying Third Commandment

The Terrifying Third Commandment https://youtu.be/1raIzROKo14 This ... https://youtu.be/1raIzROKo14 This is truly a terrifying message because we've grossly misunderstood the third commandment. Please listen to the message with a soft heart, one willing to repent. We've reduced much of the teachings in the church to intellectual understandings, something which will ultimately just gussy up the flesh and allow us to be somebody and continue in our wicked ways. Please avoid that trap as you listen closely to this message and ask the Holy Spirit to identify any areas where you may be taking the name of our Lord in vain. https://nationalprayerchapel.com/?p=31852&feed_id=4820
